Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We received some really great post yesterday! We won a competition where the prize was a signed copy of a new book for every member of Year 6. Thank you to the author, Kimberly Whittam, for the generous gift of 'Quiet Storm'
On Friday afternoon, we started a new session that will take place once a half term. Children from Year 1 - 6 got together to share their work and their books. Each session, children will share a different book from History to Maths. It was great to see the children talking about their learning and showing pride in their work!
It has been a really close competition this half term and as we went into the final week there were only 4 points between the top two houses! Total points for this half term were - Attenborough house 1359 points, Lineker house 1374 points, Townsend house 1645 points and Wan house 1593 points. Well done to Townsend house. They will have a non-uniform day on the first Friday after half term - Friday 8th March.
We had a great response to the Children's Mental Health Week Competition. All of the entries were truly amazing with a variety of photos, drawings and explanations. We have 8 wellbeing ambassadors from Year 5 and 6 who judged the entries. The winner for EYFS/KS1 was Emmie in EYFS and, coincidentally, her brother Charlie won the KS2 prize. Well done to everyone who entered!
I shared new books with the children in assembly today. We were lucky enough to win a signed copy of Time Travelling with a Hamster and Time Travelling with a Tortoise by Ross Welford. There was a rush to see who could read them first!
