► THURSDAY'S TIMETABLE

Good morning Year 1 

I hope you all had a fabulous day yesterday and managed to complete some super work with your grown-ups. Your Maths challenges are blowing me away, it is lovely to see how much you are pushing yourselves and challenging yourselves whilst at home! Keep up the great work! 

It was really lovely to get most of you together yesterday for our 'after school' aoom meeting. I really liked all the things you brought to show and tell to me and your friends. Thank you for coming along and joining us! 

Zoom meeting today 10 - 10.45am

This will be a reading focused meeting, come along and share your reading book with me and your friends. This will be a group session where I will let you in and you can listen to eachother read and take it in turns to read to me and show me how amazing your reading is now! I can't wait to hear your fabulous reading! It does not have to be your school reading book you read, it could be your favourite story you have at home. I will even read to you a story (or 2) if we have time.

In the video below Miss Martin and George are talking you through a phonics lesson just like the ones we have in school. In the video Miss Martin and George will introduce you to a new phase 5 sound each day and re-cap the phase 3 and 4 flashcards. For the lesson you will need either a whiteboard and pen or a piece of paper an a pen or pencil. Enjoy!

This term we are going to be looking at Music on a Thursday. This term we are going to be looking at timbre and how we can create and use this within pieces of music.

► PE

Usually on a Thursday morning you would have PE with Mr Revan, so today we are going to be doing some PE at home. This term we are going to be trying something a little bit different, we are going to be taking part in the Big Moves Fundamental Movement Project. Each week there will be a different series of movements and activities. Please see the below attached letter to explain the purpose of this project.

Each week there will be a youtube video explaining the movements to you and also an activity card explaining the activities to you.

In English today, you are going to create your own passport so you can visit one of the places Emma Jane does in her aeroplane. I would like to to re-watch the video of the story 'Emma Jane's areoplane' to remind yourself of al the places she visits and then use the passport template below design your own passport. There is also a video below showing you and explaining the task to you.
