Miss Jones has sent you a message:

The Register Challenge - I've definitely tested you! laugh A few tries but only 9 correct answers. The clue was "looking at your last names - one contains the jumbled up letters of the name of a tree - a Christmas tree". The answer was Riff (Fir tree). Congratulations to Jakub who was first with the correct answer.

> TOPIC - adaptation

We have learnt how some animals use camouflage to hide from predators or to sneak up on their prey.

Look at this camouflage art work that some of you shared with us...

Camouflage is one way in which animals have adapted over millions of years to be successful in the habitat where they live.

Today we are going to learn about adaptation.

Click below to watch a short film about adaptation.

Now follow the link below and do the LEARN section only and then return here.
Now watch this short film featuring a camel...

To do

  • Choose a wild animal that you like.
  • Think about where it lives. What is its habitat like? What does it eat? What does it need to survive?
  • In your Exercise Book at the English end turn your page landscape and draw your animal in the middle of the page or use a word processor
  • Make an information page about how the animal has adapted....

  • Add labels and text boxes.
  • Make it look attractive.

> ZOOM PARTY PREP' - party at 3.30pm
Do you remember last time?

With so many of us together it is crazy crazy fun. It is so great to see each other. It is also tricky to hear each other.

So here is my idea....

  • Prepare some signs to hold up. Big, bold and clear to read with messages on. You could use paper and then make your signs using dark pens or colours that stand out. You could say hi to people... say hello to a friend.....say something to the team....suggest something like 'Let's Dance'...challenge someone or challenge the class... share a joke....share some news....
  • The more signs you have the more you can say.... make them bold and easy to read on our screens!
  • If you want me to mute everyone's mic so we can hear you you could make a sign to say that too laugh
  • You will need to hold them up for a while though so we can see them laugh

Check this man's signs out....

Zoom Party Details

I will email the details to you shortly before 3.30pm. If you have any friends who you think may have missed the announcements, please let them know.
