► SEESAW TIP OF THE DAY
Well done for taking yesterday's tip on board - it is so much better getting all the photos/drawings/videos relating to one piece of work as one Journal entry. Thank you. If you didn't see it... look at Monday.
Today - aim to add one post to your Journal for each piece of work you do (each post may contain several pics of that work).

► MORNING WORK
Here are the spelling words from last week:
Your task this morning is to choose 5 words and put them into sentences. Then have fun practising the words using a variety of ways, like we do in the classroom, such as pyramid words, one letter/one colour and drawing the shape of the word. I've included a picture of some of the games we do to help you.

► ENGLISH
The first part of today's lesson is to record yourself performing the poem 'From a Railway Carriage'. You can record a video or just the audio straight into Seesaw. When you perform the poem think about:
The speed you are talking - you probably need to talk more slowly than you think.
Your facial expressions - this can really add to your performance.
Any actions or hand gestures that may add to the performance.
The second part of the lesson is to write, and then perform, another verse for the poem. Please watch my demonstration video as this explain how to start gathering ideas, writing it and will give you a structure to work from. Then write your verse into best, you could type it straight into the notes section on Seesaw, and send it to me.

► HISTORY
Today you are going to learn about a great engineer called Isambard Kingdom Brunel. He is a significant person in History not only for his development of the Great Western Railway but also his design and construction of bridges.
First I would like you to watch the lesson input and information.
Your activity is then to design and construct a bridge. Please use the sheet below to write about your design (what materials and tool you need to use, how you are going to make your structure stable). I have included 3 different bridge designs, with step by step instructions to inspire you, taking into account that you will all have different materials available to you to build with.
There's a paper bridge, a suspension bridge from recycled materials and a truss bridge using K'Nex. You could also use Lego, wooden bricks or another construction materials you have.
Please upload your design sheet, a photo of your bridge and your evaluation onto Seesaw.
