There are many parts to the Wigston Academy task.

In order to do a good job, you can continue, throughout the week, with the tasks in yesterday's Ppt and then edit and improve and complete your final draft.

In school, pupils got to the end of hearing the story being read.

When completed, (take your time and give it your best effort) please could you send a copy to me via Seesaw or e-mail as well as send to Wigston Academy if hoping to attend that secondary school.

ICT - COMPUTING

The survey includes a few questions about access to home remote learning during the current lockdown.

For children not in school, please use the link and complete the surveys at home.

For those in school, they will be completed as part of a lesson.

My apologies for completely confusing yesterday's learning with which day of the week it is/was.

► MINDFULNESS and WELL-BEING

We need to be mindful that many people have very different life experiences to us.

Their day and evenings may be very different to ours.

The load they are carrying is already much heavier than we may realise.

They may be a carer; they may have lots of additional jobs at home that you do not have to consider.

We need to be kind and caring. We all deserve to have dreams and aspirations.

We need to shower people with empathy and enable them to achieve life goals.

A little support goes a long way!

When 10-year-old Lexus gets through to the finals of the competition with her ‘Stained Glass Cake Show Stopper’, a design she has worked on with her mum, she has mixed feelings.

Will her dreams to impress judge Emerald Berry smash into pieces, if she has to leave her mum at home alone?

Created by filmmakers aged 8-18

After you have watched the film clip, I would like you to find a photo or image (ask an adult) of someone you admire and aspire to be like because you respect their attitude to life.

A photo is a still image - filming is made from many stills/images. If possible, a photo of you and them together. Or if they are near you now, take a new photo of you both.

Can you trace over the image on a phone, an iPad or paper copy, and then colour it in their favourite colours and decorate with images (that are pertinent to them) around the edge to make a frame?

Icing On The Cake - Youth Voice - Into Film

Use your sketching and shading techniques learnt in class in art lessons.

Mindful colouring has become a much-loved activity for people of all ages - it can develop focus and calm a busy mind.

Can you infer the colours and images that represent a particular person and personality first, then spend time silently, mindfully, colouring it in.

Can you assess the tone and shades required for an image and identify a suitable colour palette?

Can you free your mind from my thoughts by focusing on one task only?
