►Reading 

Please read with your child for 20 minutes each day. This could be a story book which you read, a phonics book which they read or a mixture of the two.

Oxford Owl have a library of free books which can be read on a phone or tablet.

Follow the link below and sign up yourself. You can then access a variety of books which are age-appropriate. Start on age 3-4 (Oxford Level 1) and work your way through as your child gets more confident.

►Maths

Today we are going to be learning about patterns.

Please watch the Sesame Street video below which provides an introduction to patterns.

The complete one of the colour challenge activity sheets which are also attached below.

If you do not have a printer, you could create two and three part patterns using bricks or toys.

►Phonics

Today we are going to be revising sh and ch.

Watch the Alphablocks video below and talk ask your child to join in with the blending.

Once you have watched the video, click on the links below and ask your child to play the games.

If you believe that you child is still consolidating single-letter sounds, go to phonicsplay.co.uk and login using the username ThythornEYFS and password thythorn. Click on Phase 2 and Pick and Picture and then help your child to read the words and find the correct picture.

Today we are finishing our work on the Gingerbread Man and I have attached a suggested craft activity below which your could replicate.

It is a nice fine motor activity with the threading and you could use any resources you like to decorate.
