Good Morning Year 6!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend.
Sorry if I confused you by putting several days of work on the website, but I am in school today and taking part in some live training in the evening - and I didn't want to risk not having enough time to prepare and post your work for Tuesday - now that would never do, would it? Plus my laptop is playing up again and may be taken in for repair at some point this week.
For Friday you will need: cooking oil, food colouring (3 or 4 colours if possible). If you forget , or haven't been shopping again by Friday, you can try this over half-term instead.
SPELLINGS AND WORD WORK
Guess what? It is Monday, so we start the day with some spelling work. Practise 10 new words from the Y5/6 spelling list, or if you have complete that list, try these 10 trickier spellings:
turbulent |
biodegradable |
venture |
scintillating |
analytic |
metaphorical |
transpire |
persistent |
galvanise |
picturesque |
Whichever words you are practising today, clarify the definitions and then used the words in context.

Did anybody get the question correct on 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire' about The Galapagos Islands? - you could have won £63,000. Did Charles Darwin's work help you to answer:
The Galapagos Islands belong to which mainland? a) Columbia b) Peru c) Mexico d) Ecuador
