Cultural Capital

Thythorn Field aims to provide a curriculum that is engaging, balanced and relevant. While emphasis is placed on children learning core skills of English and Maths, we place great value on developing the ‘whole child’ and provide an engaging programme of study in all curriculum areas and beyond.

Responsibility and Leadership

We have a democratically elected School Council with representatives from all classes and all children from Year 4 onwards have experience of being mentors, buddies, playground leaders, well-being ambassadors and sports leaders.

Residentials and Trips Out
We are proud to be able to offer a residential visit to all the children in Y5 (Coastal).
Every child experiences a 'Place of Worship,' visit, visits to museums and place of notable interest eg Burrough Hill Iron Age Fort, our local canal and the theatre.

Cultural Celebrations
We are proud of our links to Shakespeare in Schools.
Our Business In The Community links sees volunteers every year working in school alongside the children.
Every year we support a number of charities including our local foodbanks.

FOODBANK
We enrich our pupils with a wide range of clubs. These clubs celebrate a variety of sports and fitness; the arts – singing, dancing and drama. There are opportunities for all children.
