Good morning Year 5.  

​​​​​​​Today you lots of different activities.  In English today you can take on the persona of an Estate Agent - as you have to create a sale brochure for Stig's den.  I wonder which of you will be the best sales person with the gift of the gab .​​​​​​​

► ENGLISH 

Today in English you are going to write an advertising leaflet for Stig's den.  This is a creative way of writing a setting description of Stig's cave.  You need to included details such as the facilities (or lack of them), special features (like the jam jar window or tin can flue) and describe the atmosphere.  Also include description of the items and objects crammed into all parts of the cave and the unusual uses Stig has created for some of the objects.  To be the best sales person you can be you need to go over the top with the descriptive language.  For example:  Newspapers were stacked up to make a bed..... Would become "Multiple layers of insulated, information sheets provide an individual and comfortable area to rest your head."

I have included some pictures of some real life estate agent leaflets to give you an idea of the information, pictures and diagrams you may included.

I have also included some leaflet templates.  You can use one of these to help you set out your information OR you can create your own layout.
