Maths

First of all to get your brain in gear thinking about mass can you work out these:

1 kg (kilogram) = 1000 g (grams)

What is.....

3 kg in g?

7 kg in g?

9 kg in g?

What about....

2000g in kg?

5000g in kg?

8000g in kg?

What would 500g be in kg?

What would 1500g be in kg?

Today in Maths we are finding out about reading scales to measure mass (how heavy something is).

Have a look at this PowerPoint and see if you can work out the answers.  Everyone should have a go at the first section (Diving), lots of you should be able to have a go at the Deeper section, and if you fancy a challenge have a look at the Deepest section!

Now have a go at these questions.  The same as the PowerPoint everyone should be trying the first section - then see how far you can get.

English

First of all get someone to test you on last week's spellings.  Let us know how you did yes

Today we are looking at using apostrophes to shorten words (known as a contraction).  Have a look at the PowerPoint to remind yourself about them...

Now have a go at the activity for your spelling group:

Let's get active to wake you up after lunch!
