Please read with your child and record it in their reading diary.
Topic
Today we are learning about the history of pizza!
Watch the video below and talk to your child about pizza and how it has developed into something that the whole world enjoys.
Make your own pizza with your child in any way you like and encourage them to follow your instructions, doing as much as possible themselves.
Phonics
Today we are learning the 'n' sound.
Show your child the 'n' sound and demonstrate how to pronounce it.
Model how to write it ("we go down Nigel and over his net") and then ask your child to try to write it themselves.
Write the following words down and ask your child to sound them out and read them.
nit
nat
nap
nip
sin
You could extend this by asking them to write the words when they have finished.
Maths
Provide your child with a part-part-whole diagram which you have drawn (there is a picture below of what they look like) write a number up to 5 in the top circle for the whole number and ask your child to count out that many objects. They can then use the other two circles to move the objects around and find all of the ways to make that number.
Repeat with various numbers up to 5.
