Good morning Year 1
I hope you all had a fabulous day yesterday and managed to complete some super work with your grown-ups. The updates I have received from you have again gone in a super picture gallery so look out for your pictures there below! Keep up the amazing work! I really like your Big Bad Wolf posters. Some of the writing I have seen is amazing! I am so impressed by it and it is without a doubt the best Year 1 writing I have ever seen!
I have been in contact with all of you many times since the Christmas holiday either by phone call or email, so thank you for contacting me and letting me know that you are safe and well. I also love to receive your emails telling me all about the exciting things you have been doing and looking at the pictures of your super work makes me very proud of you...Please keep contacting me to let me know how you are and what you are up to.
► MORNING WORK
Revision of the sounds you have looked at this week
Today we will be looking in more detail at the sounds covered this week. On a piece of paper can you write two tricky sentences using the sounds we have looked at this week? You could even draw a pitcture to go with them if you wanted to.
Click the star below if you would like some help with ideas on what to do.
This term we are going to be looking at special books. In today's lesson we are going to find out which books are special for different religions.
Look through the presentation below and complete the workseet, remember to save it to show Miss Martin later.
Usually on a Thursday morning you would have PE with Mr Revan, so today we are going to be doing some PE at home. In school you would be moving on to invasion games (Basketball, football etc). Today Mr Pantony shows you how to improve your football dribbling skills at home.
Can you practice your football dribbling skills at home in the garden or at the park?
Today we are going to start writing the story of Little Red Riding Hood in our own words. We are going to write the story over two days. Our story map had six key events in the story on it so we are going to write three today and three tomorrow. So today try and write up to the part when the Wolf scares Granny away.
It is this picture on your story map:

Remember to write the title and date at the top of the page like this:
Thursday 14th January

GREEN WORK - regular challenge
