► DAILY READING
♦ MONDAY
Click on the link https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p08bt0nc/bitesize-79-year-olds-week-3-9-teacher-talks-organising-writing to learn how to organise your writing and the importance of headings and subheadings when writing non-fiction.
Afterwards I'd like you to have a go at thinking of some sub headings for the information shown.
This afternoon we are looking at this story
It tells us about the journey a girl called Rachel went on when her family moved West in America, following the Great Oregon Trail.
It was a very challenging and difficult journey.
Read the page of the journey
Show me;
What the journey in the wagon would feel like.
How you would feel walking in the nice shade and finding berries
Today we are looking at creating a diary as Rachel has!
Watch the video for more information about the journey...
Remember a diary tells the tale you have been on... You will have to pretend to be Rachel!
(I've got a link to the story read via youtube... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3krijmVn_Zk to help if you get stuck about what the journey was like)
It's the 1st of December, which means we can use the 'C' word... Can you guess which word I'm talking about?
Maybe the Cosmic Kid's Yoga will help you figure it out
Today is reading day with a comprehension... Read the information and answer the questions on a piece of paper.
Go on Purple Mash and have a go at naming the different states in America (I've set them as our to do)
If you have finished that, spend 20minutes on TTRS
