Good Morning everyone! Today is going to be hot! So remember to use sun cream if you are in the sun and drink plenty of water! Because it will be hot today, I thought we could combine English and DT learning, So you will read, research, plan and then make!

Spelling practise
Ask an adult or sibling to choose 4 of this week's spelling words.(Look back at Monday)
Try to spell them out loud correctly
If you get one wrong - look at it for one minute
Now hide it and try to say it aloud
Daily spelling practise is so important to let the spellings 'sink in'
Remember also the strategy of 'drawing' the word as shown on Monday.
PE - Please complete any more of the Summer Virtual challenge. Remember you choose 1 from each category.

ENGLISH - today we will combine reading, drawing and labeling ready for making a Tudor House.
Read the Tudor homes powerpoint and decide what features you would like to include on your Tudor House plan. (the powerpoint is below)
Draw a plan for your own Tudor house - try to draw it 3D. Include design features that you have seen on the powerpoint e.g.
Roof made out of either straw (poorer house) or tiled roof (richer house)
beams showing in the outside walls
Tall Chimneys if it is a rich house
A gallery overhanging from the top floor
please label and describe your house design - you can decide if you wish to include colour in your design drawing.
It might also be a good idea to make a list of resources you will need to make your house (cardboard boxes mainly!)

DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY - making your Tudor House
Now it is time to make your Tudor house. If you run out of time and don't completely make it today, don't worry I'm going to give a bit more time to complete it tomorrow.
Create your house using any material you wish - don't worry if you don't have colouring materials - even just some old boxes and card will be great!
