Play pairs - write some ng words on bits of paper and pictures of the words on separate bits of paper. Turm them over and try to match the words with the pictures.
Make up some alien ng words and write real ng words on bits of and ask your child to sound out and blend the words , then decide are they real words or alien words. Sort them into piles or even post them into boxes.Alien words are made up words , this sounds strange but in phonics the children read alien words in order to assess phonic skills without memory as a support.
