Good Morning Year 1 laugh

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and have recharged your brains ready for another busy week of home learning. This week is week 2 of our home learning (it's going so fast!) and I want you all to continue to work hard at home (or in school) for your grown-ups. The updates I have received from you all will go in a super picture gallery at the beginning of each new day so look out for your pictures there! I have just set up a new gallery below for all your fabulous learning from Friday.

Keep up the amazing work, I am proud to be your teacher and now your grown-ups can see why as you are showing them how hard you work and how beautiful your work is!laugh

The morning work for today is a picture comprehension. You need to click on the link below to access the google form. Here you can see the picture and use that to answer the questions. Please do not forget to type your name in question 6 so Miss Martin knows who has completed the work.
► PHONICS

Revision of the 'oo' 'u_e' 'ue' and 'u' sounds.

Can you write a list of 5 words for each sound?  Can you draw a picture to match each of the words?

Remember to save them so you can show Miss Martin later.

► ENGLISH
In English this week we are going to be looking at the tradtional tale of Little Red Riding Hood. Today Miss Martin would like you to watch and listen to the story of Red Riding Hood. Then, using the story map and pictures below Miss Martin would like you to create a stroy map for the story and talk about the story with your grown-ups.

► PSHE

Today in our PSHE lesson we are going to be looking at the topic of stranger danger and thinking about who are un-safe strangers and who are safe strangers. Miss Martin has chosen this because of the link it could have to the story of Red Riding Hood and how her mother tells her to go straight to her Granny's house and not to talk to anyone along the way.

Please look through the powerpoint presentation with your grown-up about safe and unsafe strangers and complete the worksheet to go with it. Miss Martin has also made a video to explain the worksheet step by step for you. You can play and pause the video as you need to.

►STORY TIME
Today's story is a little like Jack and the beanstalk, I wonder if you can spot what is the same and what is different about this and the traditional story for Jack and the beanstalk.
