Good morning Year 1! laugh

I hope you all had a fabulous day yesterday and managed to complete some super work with your grown-ups. The updates I have received from you all have gone in a super picture gallery below so look out for your pictures there! I really like the video clips that you all send me of your reading, phonics and other things too! I can't wait to see what amazing things you do today! smiley

The morning work for today is some multiple choice maths questions. You need to click on the link below to access the google form. Please do not forget to type your name in question 6 so Miss Martin knows who has completed the work.

Revision of the 'ow' 'ou' 'oi 'oy' 'ir' and 'ur' sounds.

Today we will be looking in more detail at the Phase 5 sounds of 'OW' 'OU' 'OY' and 'IR'

Can you write a list of 2 words for each sound?  Can you draw a picture to match each of the words?

Remember to save them so you can show Miss Martin later.

Click the star below if you would like some help on remembering OW' 'OU' 'OY' and 'IR' words.

Today we are going to be looking in more detail at one of the characters from the story of Red Riding Hood. In today's lesson we are going to be making a wanted poster for the Big Bad Wolf.

Miss Marting has recorded a video explaining the worksheet and talking you through the task.

Don't forget to make the Wolf look very big and very bad! I can't wait to see your finished work. laugh

Today we are going to have a yoga session all about Little Red Riding Hood.

This video is a modern version of the classic tale incorporating physical fitness and self-regulation skills. Little Red Riding Hood helps young children to understand the importance of listening to parents, never talking to strangers, and making good choices so this also fits in with our PSHE from this week about safe strangers and stranger danger.

Enjoy! laugh

Today's story is another tradional tale, it is called sleeping beauty. You may have seen the modern version of the story called Maleficent which is based loosely on the events in this story. I hope you enjoy today's story laugh
