Phonics
Today we are looking at sight words.
Create cards with with the words I, no, go, to, the, he, she, said
Remind your child that, 'When I see a sight word; I see it I say it.' This means that we can't sound them out and have to learn the words by memory.
Ask your child to read the words a few times until they are confident.
Then place the cards around the room and ask your child to run to the correct word when you call it.
Maths
Today we are thinking about one more and one less than a number to 10.
Give your child 10 objects and then ask them to count out an amount. Ask them to add one to find one more and then subtract one to find one less. Do this a few times.
As an extension, ask your child to recite one more or less than a number.
