► MORNING WORK
► PHONICS
Revision of the sounds you have looked at this week
Today we will be looking in more detail at the sounds covered this week. On a piece of paper can you write two tricky sentences using the sounds we have looked at this week? You could even draw a pitcture to go with them if you wanted to.
Click the star below if you would like some help with ideas on what to do.
► ENGLISH
Today we are going to finish writing the story of Little Red Riding Hood in our own words. Our story map had six key events in the story on it and yesterday we wrote up to the part when the Wolf scares Granny away. Today we are going to carry on our story by writing about the last three pictures on our story map. Do your best writing like you would do if you were in school in a writing lesson. Remember to make it interesting so that when somebody reads it they want to carry on reading! Remember to:
Before you carry on writing, read what you wrote yesterday and remember to re-watch the video and use your story Map from Monday's lesson to help you with remembering what order the events of the story happened in and use the character adjectives you looked at on Tuesday to help you add some extra details and make your sentences more exciting.
I can’t wait to read them! The ones I saw yesterday that were up to picture three were amazing!
► MATHS
BLUE WORK - back 1 step challenge
GREEN WORK - regular challenge
PURPLE WORK - forward 1 step challenge
These levels of differentiation, for some pieces of learning, will ensure that your child can access teaching and learning that is pitched correctly for them. If you are not sure which colour to do then please email Miss Martin to check.
► GOLDEN TIME
On a Friday afternoon in Year 1 we have GOLDEN TIME!
I think you will agree with me when I say that this week has been very different to the normal weeks at school, but more than ever I think you have deserved your golden time. Play, be creative, make things, dress up, tell jokes and let your imagination run wild.
