Maths
Today we are working on our doubles.
Watch the video below and ask your child to join in.
Ask them to recite doubles up to double 5.
Phonic
Today we are learning the new sound 'j'.
Model how to write 'j' and explain that we go 'down the Jack-in-the-Box's body, draw the spring and dot for the head' - as per my Phonics of the Week video.
Then ask your child to practise writing the letter until they are confident.
Ask them to write the following words:
jam
jug
jog
jet
The jam is in the jug.
