► GREETING
► CONTINUATION OF MYSTERY MATHS
How did you do yesterday with the Escape Library?
Did you solve the mystery?
Complete this task first.
► IT'S BREAK TIME
► ENGLISH
We hope your reading out loud has much improved after rehearsals yesterday for World Book Day.
We look forward to listening to your recordings and seeing if we can guess who's behind the disguise.
So, do you know what World Book Day is all about?
Click on your colour group below.
Carefully read the WBD comprehension text and see how if you can answer the questions using retrieval, inference and deduction skills. Try to justify your answers using a quote from the text where possible.
It might be beneficial to read the questions first, then read the text.
You may identify some of the answers as you read.
► IT'S LUNCH TIME
► AFTERNOON SESSION
You have a finishing off session, as requested:
Go through the tasks set throughout the week and complete any unfinished work and then upload it onto Seesaw.
I would like you to continue to practise reading aloud and improve your intonation and expression when delivering your story. Complete your masks and any other disguise or props you are using. Remember to record your storytelling in an unusual place!
Please get your recording to me by Monday 8th March.
►MUSIC
Today, Abanazar is all about the rhythm!
3:2 clave beat
► MR SMYTON'S ASSEMBLY
► 'CAN I.... CAFE'
It's very apt that during the week of World Book Day we have four storytellers this week: 2 girls and 2 boys!
So this week, we have a re-visiting 'guest slot' due to technical issues last week - many thanks Mr Smyton; coming to the IT technical help rescue station once again - much appreciated.
So, Amelia you have the top slot this week as story reader - a fabulous clearly spoken story with intonation and expression, lively and most importantly, I wanted to keep listening and hear more
► ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY
We hope you have all had a wonderful week and that everyone is healthy and safe.
We are really looking forward to seeing you all again on Monday morning.
Have a wonderful weekend Year 6.
