Good Morning Year 6!
I'm so proud of those who have completed the papers so far - some good results have been shared with me, some excellent results considering we have not been in school since March!! You are so keen too!
Fabulous attitude to learning! So proud.
If you give me your raw scores; your actual marks correct, I can tell you your standardised scores and whether this means you are 'working towards,' 'expected Y6 standard' or exceeding that standard and working well above average - that's if you want to know. If you want to complete the papers as a lesson, as an extra time to practise skills, that is also great.
GPS Morning Work:
MATHS
And so, Arithmetic Maths Paper 1 - let's get this done to the very best of your ability. It is mostly the four operations, some fraction work, some percentages and a few other skills. You can do this. Make sure you read the question carefully and understand what it is asking you to do BEFORE you begin to calculate.
Now go and have a break, get some fresh air, have a biscuit and a drink, plus a loo break, before you sit and settle down to complete Maths Paper 2 (the first of the reasoning papers). Give it your best effort, read the questions carefully, think what it is asking you to do, make sure your calculate accurately. You can do this!
Science:
Evolution, Inheritance and Adaptation.
SPANISH
Get your tennis balls ready and show your adults how you can count to 10, maybe you can remember up to 12, with 2 tennis balls. Complete lesson 1.
Can you remember the greetings in Spanish and what your replies would be?
Let's see - try lesson 2.
