British Sandwich Week
17th -23rd May is British Sandwich Week. Use the opportunity to design and create healthy sandwiches.
Further learning opportunities:
- designs of your child's sandwiches
- instructions for how to make a sandwich
- descriptions of the sandwiches using adjectives
- reviews of the sandwiches and how enjoyable they were
- photographs at them enjoying their creations
Weekly Art Activity
Week commencing 18/05/2020
This week we are thinking about action in artwork. Watch the video with Mati and Dada about Jackson Pollock and create your own picture inspired by the video using actions in your artwork. If the weather is nice, it may be fun to do this activity outside.

In the Early Years, we follow the Early Years Outcomes and Development Matters documents in order to ensure that children progress towards the Good Level of Development at the end of the academic year. (Websites with links to these documents are below)
A lot of the learning that takes place in EYFS is through play and the children have access to both an indoor and outdoor classroom, selecting their own activities as well as working 1:1 or in groups with adults.
PE will take place on Thursday in the first instance with other outdoor sessions taking place throughout the week.

Assessment:
Development Matters is used to assess the children and support planning. The Early Learning Goals are what your child is assess against at the end of the year.
