Rainforest Booklet
This week you will be creating an INFORMATION BOOKLET about THE RAINFOREST. You will plan today and start your booklet and write/create it over the next three days.
I would like you to plan chapters today...
1. Decide on 3 main chapters - think about what we have already researched and written about. Think about what each chapter will include.
2. Decide on 5 vocabulary words you can include in a GLOSSARY e.g. canopy
3. Decide how you will present your booklet. You could write it and draw it. Or if you prefer it could be in a powerpoint or word pages.
You can start on your first chapter if you have time today, otherwise we will start tomorrow!
Happy Booklet planning!
Science
Today you will be carrying out 2 activities:-
1. Checking and writing final results of your light/dark experiment and concluding it.
2. Reading about the life cycle of Plants.
1. LIGHT/DARK RESULTS
How has your plant developed in the dark?
How does it compare to the plant left in the light?
Here is an example of non-light and light growth for cress....
What do you notice about the non-light plant? Plants need light to grow healthily. Why has the plant grown longer than the light plant?
Finish your results table from last week and write a CONCLUSION. This is where you answer the questions I have asked and give a good explanation about what has happened.
2. Life cycle of a plant
Watch this clip...
What are the stages of a plants lifecycle?
Can you draw and label a lifecycle?
Try to remember the key vocabulary e.g. photosynthesis
(We will be exploring pollination further on Wednesday)
