You could also play some different phonics games at http://www.ictgames.com/mobilePage/literacy.html

English:  Today we are going to round off all the amazing learning you have been doing during these few weeks. As you have been doing some amazing writing recently I thought you needed a break from working so hard and would enjoy some drama instead. Today we are going to be accessing Now Press Play from home and thinking about the story of Jack and the beanstalk. This takes us back to the vey first week of our learning this term and is a lovely way to finish off.

How does it work?

  1. Write North, South, East, West on paper and stick one on each wall
  2. Put on wireless headphones (if you have them) if not just play the sound normally from your device.
  3. Stand in the centre of the room and… now press play!
  4. Follow the instructions in the story (Just like in school)
  5. Afterwards have a discussion about the story and what you learnt with your grown-ups.

To access this you need to go to: http://nowpressplay.co.uk/learn-at-home/

Once on the webpage you will be asked for a password it is: nowpressplay

When you have logged in, please select the reception tab, you will see a tab labeled Jack and the Beanstalk. Click this to display today's lesson. Then when you are ready play the clip by pressing the pink play button.

Maths:

In maths today we are going to have a flashback Friday, this is something we do most Friday's where we test the skills and knowledge we have learnt so far throughout the year. For today's lesson go to the BBC Bitesize website and challenge yourself.

Golden Time! -  On a Friday afternoon in Year 1 we have GOLDEN TIME!

I think you will agree with me when I say that this week (just like last week) has been very different to the normal weeks at school, but more than ever I think you have deserved your golden time. Play, be creative, make things, dress up, tell jokes and let your imagination run wild....You are amazing Year 1 and I am proud to be your teacher!

End of the day story:    The story I have chosen today is one that we have not read before in class. it is called 'Mog on fox night' written by Judith Kerr.
