Can you work out the answer to this problem ?
It might help to draw pictures.
Fred has 3 pots and plants 5 seeds in each pot. 3x5=15
Deb has 5 pots and plants 2 seeds in each pot. 5x2=10
Mark has 2 pots and plants 10 seeds in each pot. 2x10=20
How many seeds do the children plant altogether ?
I have to now add my answers together 15 + 10 + 20 = 45
There are 45 seeds altogether.
