Using the image below, write your own sentences using fronted adverbials of what is happening.

These can be for time, manner or location.

For example: One hot morning, priests were busy preparing a sarcophagus for the demanding Pharaoh.

OR In a mighty pyramid, the workers worked tirelessly preparing the items that would go into the tomb. 

 

Once finished, underline or highlight the fronted adverbials in each sentence.

Remember: always place a comma after the adverbial phrase.
