ENGLISH - today we will do 2 tasks in this lesson....
1. read more of the play 'The Tempest'
2. Research some details about William Shakespeare for ICT this afternoon.
TASK 1 - So first read the following pages from The Tempest and consider the questions below it (no need to write down answers, just verbally discuss it)....
QUESTIONS
1. Can you remember who Prince Ferdinand is?
2. What does he think has happened to his father The King of Naples?
3. How does Shakespeare describe Prince Ferdinand?
4. Why do you think Prospero wants Miranda to meet Prince Ferdinand? What is he trying to make happen with them?
5. PREDICT - what might happen next?
TASK 2
This afternoon's ICT lesson will be to create a PROFILE page for WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE.
Spend some time jotting down some facts about him to be able to type them up on the Purple Mash format this afternoon.
The areas to consider are as follows:-
1. Date and place of Birth
2. Some famous quotes or phrases people use that Shakespeare created
3. Some facts about THE GLOBE
4. How many plays Shakespeare wrote
5. Kings that Shakespeare wrote about
6. Anything else Shakespeare wrote?
7. Who did Shakespeare marry?
