Good Morning everyone!

Well done for all your hard work so far this week, both at home and in school.  I hope some of you had the opportunity to have a go at some parts of the science experiment yesterday?  It is really fantastic seeing all the work and effort you are putting in.  Remember to keep me informed about your learning and if you need any help, you can contact me via my email.

On a Wednesday morning we are going to warm up with some times tables work.  You can log onto your TTRS account at any time, and if you are at home, this slot is ideal for it.  For all of you, I have included some links to times tables games and a rapid recall sheet to complete.

► ENGLISH

In English today, I would like you to write a set of instructions to teach Stig something new.  Please watch the video below, I will talk you through how we use instructions and the features you need to include in your writing.  

Barney stumbled across Stig's den and was shocked by all the scraps and 'useless' objects Stig had piled up inside. 

You could write some instructions to build something new from some of the bric-a-brac found in the cave - an old bike, tyres, nuts and bolts, lightbulbs and old newspapers.

Or, like my example in the video, you could write a set of instructions for learning a new skill.

Imagine in both ideas, that the person you are writing the instructions for has never experienced it before.  Be very precise, detailed and use all the features listed in the video.  

Include step by step pictures and labelled diagrams along with your written instructions.

A few children (and parents) have mentioned that you'd appreciate a little help with knowing the meanings of the grammar words.  So I have put together this 'Grammar Glossary'.  I will put it on the webpage with the grammar slide for the next week or so, so you have it to hand to help you. I will also post a quick video talking you through what is in the pdf

Watch the video about the importance of love in the Christian faith.  The activity is explained at the end of the video.  I would like you to write a poem using the sentence stems, about the importance of love to you.

► FRENCH

Watch and speak along with Alexa.  This week your learning is all about the weather.  Once you have practised the pronunciation of all the different kinds of weather in French, you can have a go at playing the connect 4 game with someone in your house (or at school).  Make sure you say the weather first before you place your counter or cross through the grid.  Ecoutez attentivement et amusez-vous.  (Listen carefully and have fun )
