Phonics
This week, we are revising some of the sounds which we have learnt before.
First, go to phonicsplay.co.uk login using ThythornEYFS and the password thythorn.
Go to resources and click on Flash Cards. Click Phase 2 and ask your child to say the sounds at they pop up. Record any that your child is unsure of.
Show your child 'c'.
Write down the following words for them to read first and then ask them to write them by sounding the words out independently.
cat
can
pick
dock
lick
puck
The cat licks the can.
Pick up my puck.
Maths
This week, we are thinking about number bonds to 10.
Watch the Numberblocks video below and see if your child can predict and join in with the number bonds.
When they have finished, give them 10 items and allow them to explore independently with different ways to make 10 (we will be doing more structured number bond work later in the week.)
