STEP 1:

Let's remind ourselves of the basic rules. Watch the video below...

The internet is a great way to find out about information and ideas.

But there are thousands of websites and it can be difficult to know what to trust.

It is important to be able to work out what is reliable.

STEP 3:
► TOPIC - digital art and photography
See the wonderful artwork from yesterday below. If you've not yet had a go, look back at yesterday's topic work.

Yesterday you used a digital art package to recreate artwork done using paint and brushes.

A form of digital art work that is very popular today is that of digital photography. I bet you have all taken lots of photos.

Watch the film below to see the history of photography....

With the invention of mobile phones and tablets we have a powerful digital camera in our hands to capture images whenever we choose. We also have tools that enable us to  edit, manipulate or add special effects to these images creating new and exciting pieces of art...

ACTIVITY 1

You will need a camera on your phone or a tablet.

Take a photograph of something in your house from an unusual angle or very close up or with a special filter on. Choose your object, angle and effects very carefully - like an artist. Send it/them to me with the answer(s) and I'll make them all into a quiz for others to guess.

Here are some I've taken.... can you guess what they are? laugh

ACTIVITY 2

Use a photograph to create a digital jigsaw puzzle

Watch the video below to find out how...

ACTIVITY 3

Take an amazing photo and send it to me. Look at some of the tricks photographers go to to create art (always check with your grown-up before trying some of these)...
