Today we are looking at the story Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? By Eric Carle.
Watch the video below and then talk about the different adjectives that describe how the animals look.
What is an adjective?
Create a list of the adjectives in the story.
I have attached a writing activity below which the children can use to write independently.
Phonics
Today we are going to practise some writing of Ladder Letters.
First, go to phonicsplay.co.uk and login with the username ThythornEYFS and the password thythorn. Go to Resources and select Flashcards. Click Phase 2. Go through the game and ask the children to say the sound and do the actions.
Then, ask the children to practise i, t, L and u. Model how we write the letters and reinforce the letter formation rhymes:
"Down the insect's body, draw the sting and dot for the head."
"Down the tower, draw the steps, across the tower."
"Down the long leg and draw the foot."
"Down and under the umbrella, back down and draw the puddle."
Then ask the children to write the following words.

pull
till
tug
lump
split

Today we are looking at missing number problems using number bonds to 10.
