Did you see the magic mind reading trick Mr Smyton did on you yesterday? If not, go to yesterday's page and try it.
Watch the video below where I explain how it works...
In Computing today I would like you to create a mathematical mind reading trick and present it using either Powerpoint or Slideshow (in PurpleMash)... there are two video tutorials below to help you.
HOW TO CREATE A TRICK
Try this....
You are back at the number you first thought of!!!!!
(Can you see how I did this?....what I did was get the person to do some steps and then undo the steps so they are back at the start!)
I will do the same here but make it cleverer to hide what I'm doing...
You are back at the number you first thought of!!!!!
I would like you to try and write a clever little trick like this and then present it in a digital format..... choose PowerPoint or Slideshow. Watch the videos below to learn how to do it.
There are wizards among us!!!
These pictures are by Ethan G, Jakub and Zayaan.
Magic is all about fooling the onlooker into believing they are seeing something that is not actually happening.
I enjoyed hearing about your tricks yesterday. Lewis G sent a picture of the coin magic trick he created, based on the video, to fool people...
Now see two of our magicians in action!!!! Zayaan and Lois!!!
Optical illusions fool our brain into thinking we are seeing something that we are not.
Let's see how easy it is to confuse our brain....
BRAIN FOOLING CHALLENGE
Look at the following list of colours. Read out the list BUT do not read the actual words written... instead say the colour the text is written in e.g for this word blue you would say red (because it is written in red) and for this word yellow you would say green (because it is written in green).
Now you try...
LEARNING ACTIVITY
Watch this video. There are drawing challenges to create optical illusions and at the end there is a cool one you can create from Lego. I would love to see any pictures you create.
Listening to someone read a story is a great way to relax and unwind.
We are lucky that, at the moment, we have some fantastic stories being read by famous people and excellent story-tellers that are wonderful to enjoy.
Choose a story from below to listen to. Choose somewhere to relax and enjoy it.
