Please write your final draft for the chunks you have done throughout this work: write your final draft; your best handwriting, spelling, descriptive detail - give it your best shot and then upload it on Seesaw for me to read please. You have until Friday to complete this task - so maybe a little each day, or an improved chunk per day. Or write it all in one go - off you go and get the job done!

► MINDFULNESS and WELL-BEING

by Ms Hadland

As we approach Children's Mental health Week: 1st - 7th February, I thought you might enjoy a little learning and mindfulness via a film! blush

You are going to merge some ICT filming skills by the end of the next fortnight!

Get your cameras ready!

Can you identify a character's feelings by listening to them and watching their actions?

The characters find themselves in situations where engaging in a mindfulness activity helps them to be calm, present, and focus on the task in-hand.

The characters regain control and the mind is not able to wander or become over-run with spiralling thoughts.

a. What task is the character faced with?

b. What feelings might the character be feeling initially? How can you tell?

c. What do you think they are they doing with their minds to help them in their task?

d. How do you think they feel afterwards? How can you tell?

Complete a Reflective Journal of your making (see suggested content ideas below: slide 5) and record these kinds of thoughts on your sheet. You will add to and build this journal over the next 2 weeks.

You will record your reflections in the journal after each activity over the next fortnight.

Design a front cover; make it a special reflection and feelings journal; add images, doodles related to the content, speech bubbles with thoughts and opinions, ribbons to untie and reveal hidden thoughts within a folded paper section, use colour to reflect emotions and feelings, layers your ideas - in the style of a special scrapbook/journal!
