Summer 2 2018 - The Titanic
The children are learning about the Titanic this term. They have already been busy researching and writing about the creation and demise of the Titanic.
The children have also been writing an imaginary recount as a child survivor of the Titanic on the night of the 14th April 1912. They have been practising using figurative, descriptive and emotive language in their writing. In Art, they have been painting the famous ship, sketching out their ideas first before adding the colour.
In Science, last term, the children learned about life cycles of different animals so this term they are learning about the life cycles of humans.
As part of P.E., the children have participated in Sports Day and have been practising their athletics skills with Mr Clarke. The class have also been learning the rules and skills needed to play rounders and are developing teamwork and communication skills therein.

AYLMERTON DAY FOUR - FRIDAY
We have a very busy morning tomorrow, so will not be able to upload any pictures as we are hoping to leave Cromer for the home journey around 1 pm. We will contact the school when we are closer to home to give you plenty of time to meet them back at school.
All of the staff would like to thank the parents for their support. We are very proud of your children and they are all a credit to you all!
AYLMERTON DAY THREE
Wow! The days are just getting better! The children have had an amazing time on a mud walk along Blakeney Point. They have also walked along the inland coastline and worked up an appetite ready for lunch.
After lunch, the children then took a boat trip to see the seals. They saw Common Seals and Grey Seals with their pups. This was followed by visiting the Lifeboat Museum around Blakeney Point and a scavenger hunt for semi-precious stones on the beach. The children have finished their day with a disco, including games and prizes. The staff are very proud of all of the children as they have been amazing and enjoyed every minute.
AYLMERTON DAY TWO
What an amazing day the children have had! During the morning, theyworked in teams to problem solve a variety of team building activities including the Spider's Web, Flip and Fold, Acid River and clue hunting. The children worked exceptionally hard and well together focusing on communication, encouragement and co-operation.
The teamwork theme continued into the afternoon, when the children had the opportunity to visit Bacton Woods and use their orienteering skills to follow a 'Monster Trail'. The children worked in the same groups and had a fantastic time finding clues along the trail. They were surprised by 'Monsters' along the way and had great fun.
To finish off our day, we spent the evening ten pin bowling and the children had a brilliant time!
AYLMERTON DAY 1
We arrived safely at sunny Cromer and had our lunch. The children have had a fantastic afternoon climbing the church tower to see the views of Cromer and learning about the RNLI Lifeboat Museum. We had a three course dinner followed by a twilight safari in the local countryside. We also celebrated a pupil's birthday! What a busy day! We are looking forward to tomorrow's adventures.
