Please read with your child for 20 minutes each day. This could be a story book which you read, a phonics book which they read or a mixture of the two.

Oxford Owl have a library of free books which can be read on a phone or tablet.

Follow the link below and sign up yourself. You can then access a variety of books which are age-appropriate. Start on age 3-4 (Oxford Level 1) and work your way through as your child gets more confident.

►Topic

Today we are retelling the story of the Gingerbread Man.

Watch the story again, I have attached it below and then talk about the events and characters.

Print the puppets below or make your own, ask your child to cut them out and stick them to sticks or straws etc. Then role play the story together.

Talk about what each of the characters say, focussing on using language from the story. We are working on speech later in the week.

I would love to see some videos of your child telling parts of the story with the puppets.
