Hello Year 2!

Wake up Shake up. It's Friday......

Join in with our assembly song. I'll give you the thumbs up back!!!

ENGLISH

Yesterday I recorded some tongue twisters for you to listen to and join in with. They are on page 47 in your home school pack.

  • Have another go at reading them aloud. Try and do them really quickly!
  • Then on page 48 or in your exercise book see if you can you make up your own tongue twister. Try and make most of the words start with the same letter and it can be as silly as you like!

Here's two tongue twisters that I've made up.

Yummy year two yelled yes!

Little ladybirds like to lick lollies.

  • If you would like me to have a go at saying your tongue twister then e-mail it to me and I will record myself saying it and put it on the Year 2 page.

MATHS

  • Practice counting in threes with the video clip below.

The Counting by Threes Song

Counting by threes is a breeze with this fun song & video! Blast through space as you count all the way from three to sixty!

  • After counting in 3s , complete the dot to dots on page 56 to help with those counting in 3s skills.(OOPS!surpriseBanana Brains Miss Shepherd asked you to do this yesterday!!! If you want something else to you could try drawing pictures to represent groups of 3 For example 4 groups of 3 cakes , or 6 groups of 3 cars and write how many altogether)
  • Complete page 72 . A maths activity mat to practise different skills.Remember you can draw to be sure if you need to!

On a Friday we always have Golden Time. I think you certainly deserve it this week. I am so proud of how you have all got on with your home learning !

Well done.

If you would like to make an Easter box/basket in Golden Time then go to pages 95,96 and 97 and choose one to make. Colour it carefully first.

Make sure you are continuing with your reading and choose a favourite book from home to share with a grown-up.

Below is one of my favourite stories. I have listened to it lots of times but it always makes me laugh!laugh
