This week we are thinking about people who help us personally.
Today we are focussing on people in school.
Ask the children to talk about who helps them in school and how.
Ask them about specific people, if they don't mention them, and ask how they help and what their role is in school.
Phonics
Today we are focussing on rhyming.
Give the children a word such as pin, map, log, cat and ask them to create a rhyming string as a class.
Once you have done this a few times, go to the link below and play the game together.
Maths
This week we are learning about subtracting.
Give out the whiteboard packs and write subtraction questions to 10 on the board.
Ask the children to draw the first amount and then cross out the second amount and count what remains.
Once they have completed a question, model finding the answer before moving to the next question.
