If you are at home:

Are you ready to learn?

Have you had your breakfast, washed your hands and brushed your teeth?

Go to the bathroom and after that get yourself a drink.

Make sure you have pen and paper, possibly a dictionary to hand if you have one at home, and now do your home register!  Is everybody there?

Are you ready to learn?

Let's begin!

ENGLISH

Goodnight Mister Tom by Michelle Magorian

I understand that I have been racing ahead a little bit too quickly for you and you still have session 3 and session 4 reading comprehensions to finish.

So, off you go! Get reading and get answering those questions wink

MATHS:

ALL:

FAST FINISHERS:

or complete tomorrow

It's lunchtime already!

I hope you are having something healthy, nutritious and tasty,

Munch and crunch something on Monday!

STOP, DROP and READ:

30 minutes of reading by an adult: demonstrating good practice and modelling fluency, pace and expression. Continue to read a little more of Goodnight Mister Tom.

SCIENCE:

ALL IN CLASS:

Today you will hear the story: The Lighthouse Keeper's Son. This is the text we are going to use to link Science and our DT project - I hope you have all been bringing in your Pringles tubes and kitchen roll tubes ready for your group project?

After you have heard the story, you are going to try to create circuits to match the events with the lighthouses. You are going to look at creating a range of circuits to match criteria, exploring 'what if...' whilst changing components one at a time, looking at the impact.

You need to draw and label your circuits and record your circuit exploration ideas and reflections in your non-fiction books.

PUPILS AT HOME:

Login to Purple Mash and explore the Science: Electricity:

How a Bulb Works in a Circuit and Ordering the Brightness of a Bulb.

If you complete the practical elements of this you will then need to begin to plan your project group work which you didn't start last week. One in your groups, and you have your designated role, make an agreed list of art and DT resources your group will need for each element of the island and the lighthouses, You will then be ready to go on Wednesday and complete it by Thursday!!

Who is going to be project photographer and take plenty of pictures at different stages of the planning and creating?

If any time remains:

Please rehearse the Christmas Song:
