The Fir Tree - Hans Christian Andersen - writing task

This morning, I would like you to complete a writing transition task supplied by Wigston Academy.

It does not matter if you are planning to attend Wigston Academy for your secondary school or a different one.

All pupils are to complete the task. You can begin it in class and then complete it at home for homework.

Give it your very best effort and attention as I will be sending a copy to Wigston Academy.

 

Read the abridged story below.

Then, read through the PowerPoint slides below and follow the instructions.

It's break time!

Have 20 minutes of exercise, fresh air, relaxation and a snack if you have one.

Go to the toilet, wash your hands and then return ready to learn.

Y6 are swimming!

 

If you are at home poorly, swimming will be hard for you to achieve - you could practise floating on your back in the bath!!! surprise OR try one of the PE at home activities on the sheet below:

What are the existing rules are at school

Home learners you can access the Behaviour Policy on the school website and look at section 7.

 

What do we do to encourage good behaviour?

Write down a list of your ideas. e.g. treat people with respect, be the best version of you, work hard.  What else?

Now write how each idea can be achieved, underneath each subtitle:

Treat people with respect.
