Good morning Y6

Today we are going to start the day completing settling in tasks 8:40 - 9:15:

  • the next arithmetic sheet
  • the next new task introduced yesterday - the single tasks - problem solving: area and perimeter

Those of you wanting a 'stretch' activity:

Unpick the clues and solve. Can you apply your knowledge?

Draw in your book, note key information - solve it! laugh

Area of a triangle

Please peer mark or self mark and get instant feedback: see which areas of maths you are secure and successful with, and which areas you need to work on - set yourself a mini-target to work on.

It's break time already!

Enjoy the sunshine - and hopefully being allowed on the field again today.

How wonderful to have all of that space  again!

Can you run 4 laps of the field - it is Get Active Week after all!

4 laps, keeping to the edges is close to a mile.

Can you do the daily mile?

ENGLISH:

GPS WARM UP: please complete 'active and passive.'

After completing the recent practice SATs assessments, this is an area we need to work on

Let's have a little pre-teach to refresh your memory:

Then, the main task is continuing with HOLES

One book between two pupils: re-read chapter 4 first - you may spot some passive phrases blush - then

For fast finishers - continue with the next comprehension questions:

Please peer mark or self mark and get instant feedback: see which areas with grammar and reciprocal reading skills (V.I.P.E.R.S.) you are secure and successful with, and which areas you need to work on - set yourself a mini-target to work on.

Time for lunch!

Enjoy the fresh air - keep active.

Eat up all your lunch and keep hydrated.

This afternoon, you have PSHE, MFL and assembly as usual.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend. blush

Keep safe and keep healthy.
